How secure is my investment?

Who manages my money?
You have two choices:
- You can manage it yourself with relevant information provided by Platinum Financial Service (we will do your administration).
- You can let the fund manager of your investment institution manage your investment.
By what method do I transfer funds?
If you are remitting a lump sum then a telegraphic transfer is probably your best option. If you are making regular payments, a direct debit from your bank is possible (depending on the country of your bank). Otherwise, a debit from your credit card is acceptable to the majority of financial institutions and also generally the cheapest option.
What factors should I consider when choosing someone to manage my money or existing portfolio?
There are several key factors to consider when choosing a responsible third party to manage your money:
- Performance: the ability to achieve positive returns comparable to or exceeding benchmarks
- Listening: the ability to listen to your needs and structure your portfolio within your risk criteria

What's so special about the Isle of Man and Guernsey?
The Isle of Man and Guernsey enjoy fully designated territory status, as defined under the UK Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
However, whilst the UK and other European centres offer limited compensation provisions (in the case of the UK, this is restricted to a maximum compensation of GBP48,000 regardless of investment), both The Isle of Man and Guernsey provide security to investors of 90% (without upper limit) in the event of a registered financial institution becoming unable to meet its liabilities.
As such, both the Isle of Man and Guernsey are internationally recognised as two of the top financial centres in the world.
How can I receive the benefits of my investment?
Upon maturity your investment can be paid to you in any currency, anywhere in the world. The same applies to partial encashments or early surrender, however you must be aware that certain investments incur penalties for withdrawals and these can be significant percentages in the early years. Investments can be designed to permit cost-free access when required.
I work overseas but still pay tax in my home country - do I qualify?
In most cases, yes. During an exploratory meeting with one of our consultants a thorough analysis of your individual circumstances will be conducted to decide the best way forward.
What happens if I move from country to country?
Our company policy stipulates that we remain in regular contact with you wherever you travel to or relocate.
How does Platinum Financial Services make its money?
Platinum Financial Services receives its remuneration directly from the investment house of your choice. Generally there are two types of fees, introductory and ongoing servicing. When selecting your chosen investment all fees will be included in the prospectus. Some investments you choose may require external portfolio management charges which will always be totally transparent and fully explained by your Platinum consultant.
How much do I have to invest?
You can invest as much as you wish, however typically US$ 500 per month or US$ 40,000 as a lump sum are the minimum amounts (or other currency equivalents).
Will I receive customer support from Platinum Financial Services?
Every month, wherever you are, our client services team will contact you by email and provide you with the after-sales support you deserve. Our main aim is to ensure that you become a long-term, satisfied client, which is why exceptional service is paramount.
Will I save money if I go direct to the financial institutions that Platinum Financial Services represent?
No, you cannot deal directly with the institutions as the policy of these organisations is to work through a global network of independent advisors like us. Investing with these institutions in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man with Platinum Financial Services, means that you can access all markets and fund management houses worldwide at lower cost.
